Functional Medicine in the Age of Genomics, Biometrics and Wearable Devices
Presented by: Jeffrey Bland, PhD, FACN, FACB, CNS
This presentation will focus on the revolution that is occurring in genomics and biometrics and how this supports the delivery of Functional Medicine. Specific examples of how new technologies are creating improvements in personalization of health care will be discussed.
Jeffrey Bland, PhD, FACN, FACB, CNS, will highlight the merits and limitations of wearable biometric devices in assessing function, and how this information can be incorporated into both patient assessment and supporting positive behavior changes in the delivery of functional medicine. The use of genomic and biometric information will be applied in the discussion of specific clinical examples of the successful application of functional medicine in the management of chronic disease.
This presentation was recorded at the 2019 Integrative Healthcare Symposium Annual Conference.
